The Greek term “Eikon,” meaning “image” or “likeness,” is a profound concept deeply embedded in both philosophical and biblical discourse. Our English word “icon” comes from this Greek derivative. In Christian theology, it emphasizes the idea of humans created in the “image of God” (Gen 1:27), reflecting divine qualities through creativity and artistry. This notion serves as a foundation for pursuing excellence in all forms of art, aligning with the mission of the Eikon Art Institute, which aims to cultivate artistic expression that mirrors the beauty of God’s creation and reflects His image. Our goal is to equip young artists with the skills and character needed to lead and create with purpose in order to impact the world for Christ.
Our foundation is rooted in reflecting Christ, shaping how we create, serve others, and worship.
We develop artistic skills and equip students to achieve higher goals and pursue the arts beyond the classroom.
Students learn and grow within a community of passionate creators who uplift, inspire and value teamwork.
